With March 30th, the release date for the first map pack for Modern Warfare 2 just around the corner, I was pretty fired up to finally get to see some real footage of the new maps. I mean sure sketchy videos that could be fake are nice, but this is the real deal. This preview came up on the Xbox dashboard and is from the guys at Inside Xbox. It’s not fake. It’s 100% legitimate and the new maps look awesome.
In this preview you get to see footage not only from the two classic maps, “Crash” and “Overgrown”, but also from the three new maps, “Bailout”, “Salvage” and “Storm”.
“Bailout” is a larger map set in an abandoned apartment complex, with fighting taking place both at close quarters inside the buildings and at longer distances outside (kind of like Skidrow but with more room outside). “Salvage” is set in a bleak snow-covered junkyard, with narrow alleyways and paths resulting in surprises around every other corner, and “Storm” has outdoor combat with a central focal point in a large warehouse.
A lot of people are saying that the $15 this update is going to cost is too much, but after seeing this I’m sure a lot of people might change their minds. I mean, you’ve got to be sick of Rust and Overpass. They both suck.

With this there is an update released. After i did this update (for 360) it will no longer let me play online. Why??
There have been a bunch of problems with the patch going live this morning, from what I’ve seen on other sites they’re working to fix them as quickly as possible. Don’t worry it’s not your problem, it’s a problem with the system and it should be fixed ASAP.
